Optiplex 755

Hi

Does anyone know if this PC can have dual display by installing a low graphics card and using the on-board at same time

I have been given another monitor in work and several graphics cards but not had a chance to test it as it was late in the day last week

I am also being told by a colleague that once a graphics card is plugged in it cancels out the on-board?

Any help would be great

Thanks
.

Your colleague is correct. You can only use onboard or add on.

We use that model of PC at my work. I have USB-DVI or USB to VGA adapters installed for the second monitors.

This is exactly how we play this as well.

Have half a dozen of them. Used dualhead video cards for all of them. You can find ATI 2400pros pretty cheap I bet.

My co-working has the Optiplex 745 running dual monitors with VGA onboard and DVI via PCI-e.

The PCI-e card must be a Dell card, but it is possible to run both PCI-e and onboard.
