Darril Member Posts: 1,588You can expect new objectives to come out some time this year though CompTIA hasn't said anything publically yet though. They always have overlap so you can expect to have at least six more months to complete the A+ after they announce new objectives which should be plenty of time. Additionally, the concepts are often very similar but just reflect new technologies.
An old quote that comes to mind when considering any action is "Don't wait. The time will never be just right."

Darril Member Posts: 1,588Yes. As an example, the 220-701 and 220-702 exams are current, but previously there were 600 series exams (I think 220-601 and 220-602) that are no longer available. Before that 500 series exams, 400 series exams, and so on. Again, there's always a lengthy overlap between the time the new objectives are announced, the new exam(s) actually become available, and the old exam is expired and is no longer available.

charlesc09 Member Posts: 89 ■■□□□□□□□□If I was to guess, you would prob see the 801 and 802 version start to take effect around Nov-Dec this year. Network+ 005 took effect around that time. And there's prob a grace period to take the older version until sometimes in the middle of next year.

Yes. And here's another one that is coming out this year even though CompTIA hasn't published anything about the new objectives yet:

Thanks. Good luck with the A+ and feel free to post questions to the forum on any topics you find challenging during your studies.
