CIW/MTA certs, worth mentioning?

I'll be attending WGU next year and noticed all the CIW/MTA certs that come along with their BS degree and I became curious. Are these certs even worth mentioning (on here or on resume)?
Reason I became curious is because I noticed I will get CIW Java and Database, and if I did CIW Perl on my own time, I would get Web Development Pro (requires those 3 certs). I got to thinking, why pay for an extra test (Perl) to get an "advanced-entry-level" cert (Web Development) when realistically (I think) no one at HR is going to recognize or care that I have these, especially since (hopefully) I'll have CCNA, MCITP:EA, and the regular dose of CompTIA certs by that time?
I do plan on learning perl/python/php on my own time though, as this is definitely knowledge I will need to be a pen tester, but I already have enough reading material/video's to learn these on my own.
Thoughts? Opinions?

Our main role is to provide IT Support and consultancy for our own and external organisations, our secondary role is to provide IT Technical training. It's also a good way to slowly get to grips with a different side of IT, eg in support we don't generally do programming however there is a MTA for that (and vice versa).
So I guess it's really down to you whether or not to go for them and/or to put them down on your CV.
BTW, the MTA's are certification programs that do have a certificate and logo if you pass.
@bryanthetechie My name is Bryan also (if that is your real name), not many people spell it with the y like us. It's obviously the superior way to spell it for sure.
