Workstation - 2x E5410 or 1x E5620

I got two server coming back which aren't needed any more so I intend to use the parts for a new workstation as I don't have one any more.

Now the question of the question - do I run either one or two E5410s or a single E5620 - the motherboards seem to be equally expensive (single socket ones seem to be more expensive in a way).

Now the big decision - which route to go .. most boards probably support both, but I wouldn't go dual socket for the 5620 so I guess its more likely a Single vs. Dual socket decision ...

Thoughts ?

I think it depends on how much RAM you intend to pack in it. If you are going with 12GB or less, I don't think you will get much benefit out of going dual socket. If you go with more RAM, however, you will get more benefit from the additional socket based on the way modern bus design works.
