I have HR/recruiters have asked me the same questions. I like to know a) how to best respond? b) why are they asking?
the questions are:
1. are u actively looking for employment?
2. how many interviews have u been to recently?
3. do u have any offers on the table?
thanks guys!

cyberguypr Mod Posts: 6,928 ModIf the interview is going south you can always try:
1. are u actively looking for employment?
- No. I just like to waste your and my time
2. how many interviews have u been to recently?
- A few dozen. That's all my parole officer allowed
3. do u have any offers on the table?
- Yes, all in the six figures. What you got?

fredmoogie Member Posts: 80 ■■□□□□□□□□I only get 1 but 2 and 3, i have never been asked before. My response to 1 has always been "Yes i am looking for job but depends on what you have for me" or "No i am gainfully employed". As for 2 and 3, you can just say NO

Ryan82 Member Posts: 428Just be honest. We try too hard to fit into some mold in order to seem like the perfect candidate. Nobody wants a canned response that you learned off the internet, just tell them the truth. With that being said, if the truth is saying that "yes I am looking for employment because my boss doesn't know the difference between his a$$hole and his elbow" then you probably should think of a different reason, i.e technical growth, career advancement, etc.
