Too good to be true? I just told him that if they all power on and pass POST that I will give him $120 cash tomorrow. And I will drive to his location (over 1.5hr away)icon_lol.gif

They look like 3550 switches correct? Even with the SMI image is fine since I have access to the EMI IOS. I would prob. keep 2 of them and sell the other one with all fiber ports.

Are you sure those are not 3548's?

That's what I'm thinking 3548s. Might be okay for CCNA, but the $100 and gas money could maybe find a better use.

Hmm...true...well I already have (3) 2950s so maybe I could flip those / the 3500s and turn a decent profit off eBay? You think I could get $30-40 for each one on eBay?

Possibly. I see people trying to sell them for that and more. I don't know if anyone's buying though.

You could also sell 2 of those and 2 2500 routers as a $200 "SUPER AWESOME CCNA/CCNP/CCIE LAB!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I see a lot of those too.

As you suspect, probably 3548s as 3550s got for $150.00 USD ea on average on Ebay.

Not worth the time or gas, especially not $120 IMO.

The give away is the XL in the name. 3550's don't have xl in the name.

Definitely not worth it and can pickup 4x 2950's for that price.

I've been doing that so can upgrade my lab and keep it cost neutral as possible
but with 2600's and 1700's (2x of ea with wic1t's, 4 console cables and power cables)

I managed to sell a 2514 I brought for $11 for $44, listed it a very low price then a couple of people got into a bidding war.
Goals CCNA by dec 2013, CCNP by end of 2014
