What are everyone’s thoughts on the new Windows 8 file system? Looks like the next Server will be called Windows Sever 8. I think this file system is going to be stored online 24/7 and mainly for imaging.

Seems like it's going to be alot more flexable than NTFS. I'm excited for it, progression is a good thing! Hopefully it eliminates those dreaded boot issues and incorrect shut down corruption. NTFS was much better than FAT32 and I expect this new system to be even better than NTFS.

It's about time. NTFS has been around since 1993. The *nix world has come out with a few different file systems since then. ext3 came out around 2001, stable version of ext4 has been around since about 2008 now. ZFS has been around since 2005...

I'll definitely have to go back and read more on this new ReFS.
