I'm interested in learning the foundation of a storage network. I'm currently on a new project in an enterprise enviroment and work closely with the Storage group asking for luns for my esxi host. Is there a good book and cbt videos that goes over the basis? One of the vendors told me about this book, but its from 2001.

I'm looking to understand how it all comes together so when the storage guys speak to me I can follow along. At some point down the road I might want to get into that area. We are using brocade CNAs in dell chassis with fiber channel.

I just searched for "storage networking," then searched again within those results for "networking."Work in progress: picking up Postgres, elastisearch, redis, Cloudera, & AWS.
Next up: eventually the RHCE and to start blogging again.

I was thinking about getting tom clark's Designing Storage Area Networks: A Practical Reference for Implementing Fibre Channel and IP SANs (2nd Edition).
I think I will also pick up EMC's Information Storage and Management: Storing, Managing, and Protecting Digital Information.Currently reading: Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action
