Exam path advise please

Second attempt at posting this, first one said would need to be checked by moderators but still not showing.

I passed the Vista Exam 70-620 quite some time ago and have decided that i'm finally going to pull my finger out and start studying for more certs.
What i'm needing is some advise on what exam path is best, the 2 options i'm looking at are:

Do the 70-622 to get the MCITP on vista then do the 70-682 to get the upgrade to MCITP in windows 7
or go for the 70-680 followed by either 70-685 or 70-686

What do you guys thinks look better to employers and what route would give me the best technical knowledge to do a desktop support job?

I would also like to know what sort of material people would suggest using to study for the exams.

I'd do the 622 and then the 682. The ROI is better, you'd get an MCITP with each exam.

Thats what i was thinking that way i would get the MCITP for vista and win7. What books would you recommend to use to study for them?

Passing the 682 will give you the MCTS as well, so you don't have to take 680. I used Daril's All-In One for the 622 (Amazon.com: MCITP Windows Vista Support Technician All-in-One Exam Guide (Exam 70-620, 70-622, & 70-623) (9780071546676): Darril Gibson: Books).

Steve how long do you think it would take to go through the work? i know everyone is different just a rough time scale

I'd say around a month of two per test. Of course it depends on how familiar you already are with the material.
