You would think. Unless they had these exchanged via shipping or something. I wipe and verify every time I upgrade my phone for example.

I assume that also includes the original owner's Malware too.

Yeah when I sold my original iPad and iPhones I always wiped them, rebooted and made sure they were wiped.
