Hi people-
Considering the CCNA and was curious to know how many people attempt the CCNA per year? How many CCNA's are there currently.
Thanks!

    I think that would be something Cisco only knows. I'll be passing next week. That or I'll schedule again in a month :P

    Another South Carolinian, where are you at? :)

    Yeah, the number I'm sure is only known by Cisco.

    Yeah, Maybe only cisco knows, but likely that others have heard. Like we know how many active CCIE's there are etc. So I was wondering how many people have active ccna's and how many people try to take it each year. I heard they teach it in HS now... Wondering also how flooded the market is anyway.
    I am going to get mine regardless, I am just interested.

    While they may teach parts of it in high school, normally students don't actually take the test then. They can if they want to..but to my knowledge a lot don't.

    They do teach Cisco in High Schools. Actually, I was apart of the first class that went through in west-central pa circa 2002... man, I'm so old. An army of school students going through Cisco academy doesn't guarantee CCNA students. We didn't have a CCNA certified for the first two years out of a full class. Most didn't care about the class, rather we played Counter-Strike.

    I've looked through the alumni, and weren't able to find any information about old class mates to see if they are Cisco Certified - in anything. I didn't look hard, so there might be a way.

    I've heard recently that, in charleston, if you got the CCNA cert for your academy class in HS, you passed the class - otherwise you didn't. That is hearsay.

    @Veritas: Orangeburg.

    here in europe a lot of universitys offer ccna courses aswell. but i never met someone who actually took the exam after attending these classes. its more like "oh your a ccna? i took the first semester at uni..."
    And then, I started a blog ...
