Fingers Crossed

Well 2nd phone interview down as of yesterday. Just waiting for the call to schedule the face to face interview with current team members. I REALLY want this job. The I.T. Director that interviewed me voluntarily told me not to freak out if I didn't hear something this week as he is scheduled to have surgery on his knee.

I deducted, based on his statement, that they will probably call me back for the 3rd interview. I didn't get the "If we want to move on to the next step, we will contact you." line.

What do you guys/gals think? Also, when/if I get the call, how do I separate myself from the other candidates for the position. As I mentioned above, the final interview is with current members of the team.

It's a Sr. Systems Engineer position. Any advice would be great, as this gig would be somewhat life changing for my family(About a 30k bump). I could put a lot of the regular financial issues behind us and focus on work/school.

    Just be yourself. When a company has the final round of interviews, they are generally looking to see who they can picture working with them over the next 2-7 years. Obviously that's not the only thing, but you have to think most of the people who are in the final round are educated and have the experience they are looking for. Don't be nervous, be yourself, and everything will fall into place.

    Interview pushed back until next week. I wanted to get it knocked out, but one of the team members had to reschedule his trip down here.

    Ok, the saga continues....

    So I sent my resume to a luxury hotel company yesterday morning for an I.T. Manager position. Yesterday afternoon HR called me and we did the usual 1st interview steps. Although there were actually some tech questions being asked by HR. Everything went well. Later yesterday afternoon HR called me and wanted to schedule a Skype interview with the Director of I.T. We had the Skype interview this morning. It couldn't have went any better, imo. At the end of the interview the Director asked me if I was still interested and wants to bring me in to meet the Owner(s) of the company early next week.

    So...fingers still crossed! What do you guys think?

    *edit* Apparently they have had a lot of previous applicants that they were not pleased with, HR lady told me.
