Responsibilities

- Provide onsite and remote troubleshooting support for clients in a timely manner
- Escalate technical issues to Manager
- Communicate effectively with users that have varying levels of technical knowledge
- Setup and/or move client workstations and desktop hardware
- Install and configure corporate applications
- Provide support for a range of Small Business IT needs (computer conferencing, printers)
- Other projects as assigned

Requirements

- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related degree (or currently pursuing degree)
- Previous experience troubleshooting Windows XP/7 and Mac OS X
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suites
- Troubleshooting skills with smartphones (iPhone, Blackberry, Droid)
- A plus: knowledge of DOS commands and Windows Server 2003/2008
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take initiative yet also know when to ask for help
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to see issues through to completion
- Sense of urgency and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Self-motivated, ability to work efficiently with internal teams

This role pays between $10-$15/hour, commensurate with experience. A commitment of 6 months, ability to commute to San Francisco, and work between 15-20 hours a week is preferred. Training and an in-depth orientation to the company is provided.

    I wish this internship was in San Diego.
    There's room for those who want the easy work and those who want the challenges. You will, of course, generally be compensated in proportion to what you shoulder. :smile:

    Desktop support requiring a BSCS?! What's the world coming to nowadays? Nice that they're willing to provide opportunities for folks to learn though.
