Question about signal on wires...

antennaboy35antennaboy35 Member Posts: 22 ■□□□□□□□□□
Hello Forum,

in some cables one of the wires is called the signal wire and the other the reference wire....

But AC voltage is carried by both wires at the same time. Potential difference is a differential quantity. Why is only one of the wires called the signal wire?

thanks

Depends on what wires your talking about. Ethernet? Or something else?
He who SYNs is of the devil, for the devil has SYN'ed and ACK'ed from the beginning. For this purpose, that the ACK might destroy the works of the devil.

Well, I am talking in general, but it could be a Ethernet wire....

In our house, there are two wires: signal and neutral. By using a test light (test pen) we can see if the wire is hot or not...
