in Security+
Hi; im 18 and I work for CC School District as a summer intern... Im A+ and Net+ certified and hopefully CCNA... i was wondering since i haven't been taught anything about security anywhere (other then basic VPN; PAP-Chap; and FIrewalls... which are really easy to get around). What books would be the best thing to study for Security+, since security is always an issue everywhere.

There are a few free resources out there that would give you a bit of an idea. TCat and Helens free pdf would be a start and if you find it informative you should purchase the full version.

There are also some very good white papers around the net. The NIST paper An Introduction to Computer Seurity is good, and the NSA also has a good paper available.
As far as studying for Sec+, I would recommend TCats pdf and CBT Nuggets - both are great and could be supplimented with the Sybex Sec+ bookwww.supercross.com
