A+ Core on 25 May @ 14:00
Hi all! I'm really nervous on taking the exam on wednesday! I've been studying really hard for the test but i still feel like i need to know more!! For instance reading a previous topic it mentions someone having a question on memory size in centimeters! I would not have thought this would have been an issue or an objective for the exam! I dont even know what they are! I've been getting around 80% on most practise tests including most free ones on the net, transcender, and exam cram!!
Any last minute advice from you all would be greatfully appreciated!!!
THANX!!!

You don't know what the 2003 objectives are? You can get it free from Comptia's website. I can also email it to you if you would like. If that's what you meant, I strongly encourage you to look over the current objectives, then decide.
Since you're already getting 80% on all those practice exams you probably only need to touch up in a few specific areas (if you're unfamiliar with the objectives). Good luck and let us know how you did! I am scheduled for the A+ hardware exam myself on the 1st of June so I am really interested to see what you thought of it. -

Well what I think is being reference is the size of PCMCIA which was convered on my exam. Just know the size of Type I, II, and III.
Actually here you go:
Type I - 3.3mm
Type II - 5.5mm
Type III - 10.5mm
Also know what each is used for.
Type I - RAM
Type II - modems
Type III - disk drives
-A Type I slot can hold one Type I card
-A Type II slot can hold one Type II card or one Type I card
-A Type III slot can hold one Type III card or any combination of two Type I or II cards.
Thats all you need to know about those.
I hope it helps.
ScriptXI have my A+ Certification, and I'm graduating in a week!! -

***I'll add you can Capitalize the word 'I' to show a little respect for yourself too.
'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird? -
Mario18Man Member Posts: 11 ■□□□□□□□□□OMG! i got a question that asked about the PCMCIA CARDS!!! and how long it was! i just passed hardware today, but i dont remember what type it asked for lol but the choices were 3.3, 5.5, 10.5 and like 12 something. i put 3.3 lol idk tho.
i doubt you will get that question tho, but if u do, u will be prepared. also, the 2 times i took hardware (first time i failed w/ a 470) i've been drilled with some hard drive questions, and def. wireless networking!! today i got mostly SCSI and wireless and a little bit of hard drives. everythign else was random.
