Had a workmate just pass his CISCO CCT (Certified Technician). This exam is apparently new & focuses on CISCO hardware with a bit of the CLI. There are 3 tracks; R&S, CISCO servers & their telephony. Apparently this focuses on CISCO hardware and it's an introductory exam & it's not that difficult. Thought I'd pass this along for those of you who hope to pursue CISCO certifications.

focuses on hardware because it's meant for field techs who have to install devices at enduser locations, datacenters, etc. good for some, but in the end you might as well just go for CCENT/CCNA if you want to get in the meat of things. i'd rather spend my dough on the certs that hold weight.
