I was a bit surprised, i have read the countless post on how difficult this test is and i would have to say I Agree !

I completed Mastering vSphere 5 by Scott Lowe , then finished trainsignal vsphere 5 cbt's , worked on a developement vsphere 5 cluster for the last few months for my job, and read as many whitepapers as i could handle. This test was a good test. Ended up with a 322/500 so i could have done better but I passed and now i can move on to 70-647 for MCTIP:EA and then get back at the VCAP - DCA studying.

I would encourage reading Mastering vSphere 5 by Scott Lowe
to anyone interested in vmware, even if your not going for a certification, great book to cover alot of material.

Congrats on passing. Check out VMware vSphere Design by Scott and few others as well. Its vSphere 4 so parts of it is outdated, but most of it is still very relevant.

    Congratulations!
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
