I work multiple sites in a Tri-ctiy area but my shortest and where I actually keep an office is about 7 minutes...longest office about 25 minutes.

I don't care for commutes. I'm 7 miles from work and it still takes me 25 minutes. If I find a new job, Ill commute until my lease is up and move. Some of the benefits of being a renter.

About 7 minutes, 2.5 miles. I bike in the summer when its nice and it takes 11 minutes.

The best part is going home for lunch to break up the day!

My current job commute is 5 miles away which can take as long as 25 minutes depending on traffic but it's much better than my previous job commute which ranged from 45-90 mins on average.

22.5 miles across the twin cities, north to south. 25 minutes with no traffic, but add even the slightest bit and it can be 45 mins or longer.

Same here, more or less. Just south of the MN river to N Minneapolis. About 17 miles, 25 minutes with clear conditions and no traffic. A normal day of rush-hour is 40-60 minutes. A bad day is 60-90 minutes. Snowstorm or major accident is 90-180 minutes.

I also drive to client sites fairly frequently. They can be as far as an extra hour away.

I hate my commute.

About 30 minutes perfect. Extremely convenient because it helps me keep in balance. I listen to Teaching Company lectures and other interesting podcasts. An hour a day... sometimes more because I have to travel to clients as well. I attribute creative success in the moment for new and interesting problems to being a more well-rounded and effective person.

Going home = ~21 - 30 - 60 minutes

I feel like your pain. As I posted above, about 60ish miles one way. Been working here almost 3 years.

Riiight....big bucks

lol. Private Sector makes more in terms of big bucks around here in California. I make a pretty good salary for being 23 yo and the area I live in ($64,000 a year) so I cant really complain., plus the benefits are pretty good. But, I also have 2 kids, a wife and do foster care.

I have a 91 Civic that I drive to work. Gets good mileage and change the oil every 3,000 miles.

25km, time depends on the time of day

before 7am - 20 - 25 minutes
7am - 9.30 am - 35 - 50 minutes
10am - 5pm 35 - 40 minutes

Thats on my bike - suzuki dl1000

Usually ride up to my parents place in Brisbane (approx 900km north) 4 - 6 times a year.
Can do it in one day but a lot more fun to go the long way over 2 -3 days(1200 to 1400km)

20 miles each way. Takes anywhere from 45mins. to an hour because the last few miles are on a two way road (base is in a remote area) and that's usually where the congestion lies.
