Sat here labbing up some STP Situations.
Would you say that my statements were correct.
All switches set to defaults btw
Two Switches that are connected together using two crossover cable. The blocked port is the highest number port on the non root bridge.
Three switches connected together using 3 crossover cables. The blocked is the port on the switch with the highest MAC address and the link with highest port cost to the root bridge.

SharkDiver Member Posts: 844Yes, both of those statements seem to be correct.
Just remember that the blocked port is the one that is neither a root or a designated port.
You will tend to figure those out first, especially if costs are set for non-defaults.
