Video Converter

Hi,

What do you guys use to convert video files?

I am currently after a freeware one if possible.

The ones I have found are bloated or contain ads or annoying stuff. Just after a simple one that does most conversions would be great. Mainly MP4 to AVI.

Windows Explorer or any other file management utility should be fine for you. Just change the file extension from AVI to MP4 and off you go. AVI is a file container and not a specific codec implementation and for quite a few years, AVI files have been using MPEG4 or derivatives of it such as DivX for video so changing the file extension usually works fine if you want to play back the files. Same goes for f4v.
