migration/transfer tools

I am migrating all of my existing windows XP PC's onto a new 2003 server domain.
They currently log on to an exiting domain and when I swap over they will presumably get a new profile etc. and I will have to transfer all the settings.
What would be the best tools for migrating/transferring all the settings from one profile to the new one.
Any recommendations welcome. Thanks

jmc724 Member Posts: 415Since you will still be on the winxp boxes (diff domains), I would simply copy the profiles to the new ones once users have login to create the new profiles, read up on the how to process...its very easy...you dont have to use the usmt in this scenario. What next?

do you mean log in to create the new profile then simply copy the entire contents of the
c:\docs and settings\-
directory to the
c:\docs and settings\<new domain user>

Exactly. Reboot & login as Admin & copy'em over. You can do it from profile manager also.
