Raid Controller for my Server
I have a Supermicro 5046A-XB and its motherboard a Super C7X58 .
I have 4TB drives and the system is only seeing 1.8TB on each drive.
Is this a limitation of the internal host controller? Ifso do you guys recommend a controller that will support my drives?

That isn't a real RAID controller on that motherboard, most onboard controllers never are. That just supports software RAID modes. -

Same goes with the OS, part of the BIOS recognizes that I have 4TB droves but when I select the individual drives it says its 1.8TB in size. Thats why I wonder if it might be the controller -

Try the latest Intel drivers as they seem to have some fixes that apply to your setup. -
