im studying for the ccent exam and am currently reading the CCENT Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician Study Guide: ICND1 (Exam 640-822) by todd lammle
a guy at work has got todd's CCNA: Cisco Certified Network Associate Study Guide (640-802) 7th edition which he has finished using and said that he'll give the book to me
i've been told that you can use the ccna book for the ccent exam but will need to read the chapters below:
ICND1 exam, study these chapters:
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16
ICND2 exam, study these chapters:
5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
what would you guys recommend - stick with the ccent book i have or go with the new edition one as this will have up to date or corrected information?

There's no point buying the same book, just organised differently imo. Try Odoms book, or Chris Bryants. You can read them find out what you need to CCENT and take the stuff out of Lammles CCNA book also.
