    I would really recommend you let your current employer know that you may not have the capacity to fill the role. If you would like to continue maybe let them know you are willing to learn....

    I agree with the above. Your basic lack of understanding about GP concerns me.

    Have you imported the administrative templates for the options you think are missing?

    Googling WSUS group policy brings up several sites with instructions - what have you configured so far and we can point you in the right direction?

    Thank you, I was just missing the administrative template. Obviously my first post was poorly written and confusing by the replies. All I needed to find was the option to disable configuring windows updates.

    Look for NoAutoUpdate, I think that's what you're going for.
