is there anything wrong with this setup? why would some1 do this setup?

The switch is probably a layer 3 switch.2017 Certification Goals:

it may very well be a multi layer switch...the firewall is not set here...no ACL, nothing.
seems to be an odd setup. -

Probably have the outside and inside interface hooked to the switch and VLAN'ed off. Its a fairly common set up from what I've seen.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made. -
