Third-Party 1333mhz ram for Dell PowerEdge 1950
Overdash
Hello,I have two Dell Poweredge 1950 servers that have 8 & 32 gigs of slow 600mhz ram that I would like to replace with something faster.
The FSB on the CPU's are 1333mhz so that is what I am hoping for, but everywhere I look only shows that they don't make ram for this Server at that speed so I am looking for third party ram that might work.
The specs are:
Fully Buffered ECC DDR2 SDRAM FBDIMMs
My question is, has anyone sucessfully upgraded a Dell PowerEdge 1950 with third-party Ram at 1333mhz?Thank you

As far as I'm aware you can only use up to 667MHz.
Dell States
Use only 533-MHz or 667-MHz DDR II fully buffered DIMMS
