Config not saving

controlcontrol Member Posts: 309
Hi,

Been doing some labbing and after making some config changes, then copy run start, it all looks to save ok.

After rebooting the router, the config is lost. It asks me if I want to enter initial config after reboot.

Tried a few times.

Sounds like this is not Packet Tracer, not real Cisco equipment?

Yeah real equipment I 've bought over the months to have a hands on lab. Starting to build a decent amount of kit, and I'm finding it a great learning experience.

I had that exact same problem last week, I sure felt dumb when I figured it out. I was about to throw the router out thinking that the NVRAM or something else in it was toast.
