I have several questions regarding the "CE" maintenance fee for some of the certifications for CompTIA
- What happens if you don't pay the annual fee?
- Those who paid the fee, please provide feedback
- If you have multiple certifications (Network+ & Security+), are you suppose to pay annual maintenance fee for both certs or just one?
All responses are GREATLY appreciated!

Darril Member Posts: 1,588If you don't pay the fee before the expiration date of your cert, the cert expires. If you skip a a year and later decide to pay, you're still obligated to pay for the previous year. This is a good list of frequently asked questions:

If you have multiple certs, you only pay the fee for the highest level cert. Here's a quote from this page: CompTIA Continuing Education Program
"Individuals who hold multiple CompTIA certifications only need to pay the annual fees and earn CEUs for their highest level certification." -
SecurityGuru23 Member Posts: 47 ■■■□□□□□□□Thank you Darril! Although I did NOT pass the SSCP which I sat for several months ago, I still enjoyed the book (SSCP AIO study guide). I used two sources and study for quite a few months but I guess the exam was just VERY difficult, IMO. I plan to sit for the SSCP exam again something in the Fall, hopefully this time I'll pass it. Any tips on how to increase my chance of passing the exam will be greatly appreciated, thanks!!!

Darril Member Posts: 1,588Sorry to hear you didn't pass the SSCP on the first try. it's a tough test and unlike the Security+ exam, really expects you to have a lot of experience. I'm hearing that the content in the book is helping people pass but the questions are challenging.
You might like to take a look at this thread:

ISC sells practice test questions (StudISCope) that are closely related to their tests and because they regularly change the questions on the exam and in their practice test question bansks, they are the best source. -
