Someone help this exch2003l configuration pls

Ok being a security guy i decided to learn about mail. i'm pretty new to this mail software.
in my test enviroment i'm using with two virtual machines one dc svr2003 its roles are ad/dns/dhcp - two interfaces -Wan and Lan and i just finished setup exchange 2003 and leave it there sitting ,nothing configured yet.
i wrote this post before i mess up something. i'm seeking some help on what to do next and how to configure my records and the software.
my dns records are unchanged because i'm not really sure what mx record to put there. i have a xp box connected to it internally with an ad user account and outlook for this test.im in virtualbox.
