Hello Everyone,
I will start studying for 70-680 exam in couple of days. I am planning to set up a lab for that. I have windows 7 installed on my laptop with 6 GB RAM and Intel i3 processor.
I would appreciate if anyone suggest me as how to set up a lab.
Thanks.

chopsticks Member Posts: 389Hi, what kind of lab are you setting up?
Normally a lab is likely to consist of:
Hardware - A physical PC with latest CPU, plenty of RAMs, large hard disk capacity, and maybe two NICs
Software - A virtual machine (VM), your target guest OS for your lab be installed on the VM
Like right now at this moment, I am setting up my lab. I've just installed Virtualbox as my VM, and is still waiting for the Microsoft Server 2008 R2 .iso file finishes its downloading, and then to install it on to the VM. I hope everything will be working smoothly. -

Download virtual box to use for the vm's: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
once you have that get the iso's for win7 enterprise. Also get server 2008r2 iso and install 2 clients and 1 server. Then lab through the material.
Give each vm 1-1.5gb of ram and a single cpu/core
Windows 7 Enterprise | Trial, Evaluation, Test, Download
Download Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1

In the future, I'll try to change my accent in the middle of a video. My Scottish brogue could use some work! -
