Need help putting experience into words on CV

Hello forum,

I volunteer at a warehouse that processes computers for schools in Africa. The place runs an internship for technical support which im trying to get, in the mean time im doing the normal volunteer work.

What they have me doing is testing computers to see what the specs are and if the PC's are working. If they don't work or are not good enough they are stripped of working parts. Next they are processed, which is connecting them to the network, running DBAN, then loading a Ubuntu image from the server. The ideas are slowly pouring into my head but im struggling.

I am not in IT, and this is the only experience I have professionally. I have two questions. Firstly, would this and a few certs be good enough for a entry lvl helpdesk role? Secondly, how would you put that on a CV? I have tried bullet pointing but im having a really hard time trying to make it sell.

Kai.

    Camara - Technical Volunteer
    • Processing computers for schools in Africa
    • Erasing hard drive data using DBAN, loaded from the network server
    • Loading Ubuntu Image from network server
    • Troubleshooting hardware/software and connectivity issues as they arise
    • Helping the system admin when needed
First draft, and under a time limited before I go back to work. Any way to expand this or are we good to go?
