Well I took the exam on the last possible day to qualify for the free retake and didn't need it. I passed (733). I took the exam a few months ago around the holidays and failed which was disappointing.
I am an old NT4 mcse and these tests are no joke. In my opinion, I think it is important to know how xp works and the tools necessary...but honestly, if I'm going to perform a RIS installation, I'm gonna crack a book for the switches to use.
Anyway, like I said the test was very challenging. I used Transcender and exam cram .. and did find one peculiar thing, most of the questions that resembled the transcender questions had completely different answers, so as your reading the question the answer pops into your head...then you read the answers and the answer you think it is isn't listed
I think MS has another offer for a free retake for any exam until the end of August, so I'm gonna try and knock out as many as I can to get to MCSE 2003. Thinking about starting with 70-294 and working my way backwards...anyone have any luck with this approach?...
Good luck!

Baredor Member Posts: 99Good job on squeezing by, though you pulled it off by a higher margin than I did. The test was definitely difficult for me. I agree that you'll usually use a reference to do most of the things that they want you to have memorized, but at the same time, I'm not satisfied with my knowledge of the product at present. More to work on.
As for the next exams, I'm going in order. 290 and 291 are on deck. No way am I going to try the design exams before I get these down.
