70-682 vs 70-685

I recently passed my 70-680 exam, and while reading up on which exam to work towards next, I discovered that I have two routes that would result in an MCITP: EDST - one being the 70-685 exam combined with my 70-680; or the 70-682 exam combined with my MCDST.

I'm still in the air regarding which exam I should take - any suggestions from folsk that have taken either exam?

I recently took the 682 and came unstuck on the second part (685) with 494 marks.
Got about 800 or 850 marks on the first section which I found to be ok.

Only did this exam as I have the MCDST and thought with one exam I could get two qualifications, the MCITP: EDST and it also covers the requirements for the 70-680.

I have put some thought into this and although tempted to just do the 70-680, I am going to re-take the 682 when I am ready. Microsoft have also recommended this route for my situation.

I have always found that the client operating system exams can be harder than the server exams to pass, due to the broad scope of the subject matter.

If you did the 682, you would be doing about 25 680 questions again and about 25 685 questions.
You may find the 25 685 questions harder than a full 685 exam.

Not much help maybe but just an afterthought...........
