After rescheduling the exam a few times in the last few months. I finally sat and passed CWTS today with 91%
Used the official Sybex book and CWNP practise questions. Found the exam relatively easy in comparison to others I have sat. Also really improved my understanding of 802.11.

Be prepared for the CWNP and CWSP to be much more difficult than the CWTS. -

jdubb45 Banned Posts: 20 ■□□□□□□□□□I'm extremly obsessed with telecommunications! Did it in the Army, have FCC license for GMRS/HAM, and now work as a pen tester. One of the modules the company I work for is wireless pen testing/recon. As far as wireless technology goes which track should be followed for a person who does PEN testing?

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,090 AdminWireless technology is at OSI Layers 1 and 2, while pen testing is typically in Layers 3, 4, and mostly 7. Pen testing wireless networks is about defeating firewalls and authentication systems to become a legitimate user and gain access to the wired network. Understanding different wireless (802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee) access control standards and implementations is where you should start,
