Hi All

I have just finished my MCTS – Win 7 Exam ( 70-680 & havenot received my Score report yet thanks to a Prometric big time mess up icon_sad.gif ) I Intend to move toward MS Server Certifications next .

My Current role is an IT Support / Helpdesk role and I would like to move in to Server Technologies . I have completed my 290 ,270 ( XP ) & 680 ( Windows 7 ) exam. ( this leaves me one exam = “the Beast – 70-291- short of my MCSA ) .

The dilemma I have here is it worth going for the 291 to complete my MCSA 2003 or shall I go on with the MCITP : Server Administration Cert Track.?

Which of these above would be the next logical step for me to pursue and also would make me more marketable in the job market – Advice needed please

MCITP:SA will meet the requirements for the new MCSA 2008. I would recommend going with that over an MCSA 2003.

Currently they are equal. You gain both MCITP:SA and MCSA 2008 for completing 70-640,642,646.

Well Thanks for the Input Guys i can understand the logic behind goiong for the 2008 Exams and think that is the better options for someone like me ( but i would still love to have the MCSA ( SA= Server Administrator icon_smile.gif ) in my resume rather than the MCSA 2008 ( SA= Solutions Associate ) icon_lol.gif
