I've passed the VCP-510 exam today at a Pearson VUE test center.
It's my first exam at Pearson VUE. I usually take exam at Prometric.
They took a picture of you for their record and you have to sign on a digital pad.
The exam was not easy. There are a lot of questions where you have to choose
two or three answers. You can't pass if you are a newbie and only took a VMware
training class without practice experience.
I took the UCSC online training class from January to the end of March. Then I
read the book "Mastering VMware vSphere 5" by Scott Lowe. I also use
vSphere 5 Study Notes for VCP510 - IT-BOOK.co.uk.
My background:
I took a live training class on VSX 3.5 about 4 years ago but did not challenge
the exam. Since then, I've "played" with ESX 3.5, ESX 4.0, ESX 4.1, ESXi 5.0,
vCenter, FC switch, NAS, SAN in a lab environment at work.
