Does anyone have a list of training centers that have been approved by the VA?

So far, I know of the following:

SecureNinja (looks like a DBA for Insyte): https://secureninja.com/
Insyte: http://insytetraining.com/page/5/Financing/
Future Media Concepts: http://www.fmctraining.com/fmc.asp?s=GI+Bill

The only place I've found is the VA website's search function. It's a bit tempermental though, and schools/training centers aren't tagged properly so you may not find it anyway. Best thing I've done is looked for training centers and called them to see if they were an approved VA training center. If you do find a good list, let me know; I'd be interested as well!

    I've found a few others...

I sent an e-mail to the Insyte/SecureNinja guys to verify that they do in fact take GI Bill... Will post reply when I get it.

please, please don't waste your GI Bill on training centers. Go get a masters degree, you will get far more benefit out of it. I was JUST about to make a post about the masters program I will be looking at, look for it in about 10 minutes.

There's not much use for a MS in IT... experience and certs will always trump a MS.

You also need to take in to account an individuals situation... A MS program takes 2 or 3 years of solid dedication - not all people can dedicate that much time to pursue something that might not provide a significant return on investment (not just financial, but time).

All that being said, I'm probably going to apply for the Carnegie Mellon MSIT program... I think being able to learn from Carnegie Mellon professors will be a huge benefit to my overall growth.

I see you're in the DC area - so... if you're interested in the MSIT program from Carnegie Mellon - apply for a job at CMU-CERT. If you work for CMU, you don't have to pay tuition... which would free you to use your GI Bill for something a little more fun (like flight training).
