You are right, the CCNA is not complicated at all, i'm grasping everything quite well but I am currently unemployed and do not have the money to purchase the actual test myself. I have been self studying and I actually have a grant that will pay for the CCNA and the test(which is my main concern) these two facilities are my options. I just want to know which facility would be the better one to attend New

I have heard good things about New Horizons (from third party non-techies) but honestly why would I fork over 2K for training that essentially is someone reading out a book. I don't think these trade schools are really worth it unless your company forks over the money, and even then, 2K is a lot of money. Enough money to build an elite CCIE rack and learn networking from the ground up.Reading: Internetworking with TCP/IP: Principles, Protocols, and Architecture (D. Comer)

If someone were covering both the class and the exam (sounds fishy), I'd skip the classes and take the exam! Best of luck to you.
Thanks Network Veteran, ive done the due diligence about Microtrain. I know people who have actually been to Microtrain and enjoyed it and have attained their certification. But it wasn't the CCNA, so I just wanted to make a good decision about the institution I chose for that particular Cert. I wanted to see if anyone here in this forum may have had any experiences with either one of the above mentioned training facilities. -

Years ago I went to new horizons for my mcsa and ccna. After being a little to cocky I finished my mcsa, i've since started to re-study for the ccna.
With all that said I enjoyed New Horizons. The instructors were great. It was nice to have someone that can answer your questions and explain it to you (again and again if needed). Forums are a great resource but having someone in person can be more helpful.
Good luck!
