Palo Alto is offering a free e-book download of "Modern Malware for Dummies" by Lawrence C. Miller, CISSP. I haven read it yet, just came across it today, and downloaded it. Figured a few people here might be interested in this freebie.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,093 AdminDespite this being a security appliance vendor-inspired (Palo Alto Networks) publication, it contains very good information and certainly worth reading. SSCP candidates should read it as part of their preparation for the SSCP CBK Malicious Code and Activity domain.

Slowhand Mod Posts: 5,161 ModI received a dead-tree edition of this book, (along with a whole slew of other security-related ". . . For Dummies" books,) at the RSA Conference this past year. For the most part, they were all pretty good, this one included.

Just a side note, Fortinet wrote a book about UTMs if anybody is interested.
