should i knock out the net+ and a+ real quick before starting WGU ?

what do you guys think? since Im already in IT should i just get these for the helluva of it or just move to the next level certs..

It won't hurt, as long as you don't miss the $400 or $500 it costs. If the program you go for at WGU requires them, you might as well get them. There is logic to enrolling, then starting, since you get free materials. On the other hand, because of how WGU works, it might ultimately be cheaper to get them first.

If the program you go for at WGU doesn't require them, it would make more sense to go for the certs it does require.

I would just start studying for them before enrolling/waiting for the start date and then take them once you start classes. This way you save money on the tests and as long as you pass you should be able to finish 2 other classes in there place.

Yeah, I'd go with Timber Wolf. I did my CCNA before I started, but that was only because my company paid for it and I had to wait a couple months between finishing my BS and actually getting the final transcripts to start at WGU.
