Hi All, me and my STP woes again ,
In the learning stage, when it says the ports learn MAC addresses, does this definition mean that "trunk ports store source macs in the mac table, but don't actually forward the frames to the destinations?".......

veritas_libertas Member Posts: 5,746 ■■■■■■■■■■That's correct. It's processing BPDUs as well as building the MAC table.

control Member Posts: 309Whilst STP is going through the process of finding root bridge etc..when ports are in learning stage, do the switches cache frames sent by PCs to send them on once converged or are they dropped?
