What is the deal with the Nonegotiate mode?
I know it is ready to trunk, but is this not just the same as "on" and "desireable"? All are ready to trunk?

or it can prevent your switch from trunking with rough devices. -

If I hooked up something that could automatically negotiate a trunk, then chances are, I could get a host on whatever VLAN's I want. This is significant, since some Cisco platforms default to dynamic desirable on every port out of the box.
This is why whenever I spin up a new switch, every single port is set to access mode, and any configured trunks are hardcoded.
