Has anyone passed the sy0-301 test usi ng a sy0-201 book?

Hi.
I have a SY0-201 Darril Gibson Security plus study guide which by the time I was ready to take the SY0-201 test, it was too late. If any passed the sy0-301 test using this book and other resources, please pass the knowledge. Or I would have to wait until the next payperiod to buy myself the newer edition.

I personally used CBT Nuggets that went over the 201 material and I passed the test with a 872 score the other month. So I would say yea you should be fine, but if you don't feel comfertable maybe get up to date material. -

Early in this exam cycle some people said they were able to pass the 301 exam using the 201 study guide and the CompTIA Security+: Get Certified Get Ahead-SY0-301 Practice Test Questions book (paperback ISBN 1466323605, Kindle ASIN B007IYF3Z
. I don't remember their other experience or certifications though.
That said, I think you have the best chance of passing the exam the first time you take it by studying material written to the current objectives.
