Passed ! with a 900

ziggyziggy Member Posts: 38 ■■□□□□□□□□
:D THANKS to all for the information provided in this forum.

I passed the CCNA cert today with a score of 900 and 8 minutes to spare. Had to be one of the most stressful exams to date. I have never wrote a multiple choice test and not been able to go back and review the answers.

My advice, know everything especially subnetting (VLSM). Practice, practice, and practice more subnetting. You can loose a lot of time if you are slow at it.

This forum was a great resource. :D
Keep up the good work "techexams.net"

I took a four level course at a College at the nearyby City and used the books from Cisco Press. Both were third edition.

    Cisco Networking Acadamy Program
    CCNA 1 and 2
    Companion Guide

    Cisco Networking Acadamy Program
    CCNA 3 and 4
    Companion Guide

Extra study material included the wonderfull WWW. icon_wink.gif Unlimited resource.

Get a second or third opinion on whatever topic you need some sharpening on. If the Cisco book didn't finish explaining something, I would pull information off the web using google and got lots of good stuff from IEEE, Cisco Web site, and countless others, including this forum. Just have to read through it and decide what is relevent. I killed a tree or two printing stuff off, but it was worth it :)

some good stuff here too http://www.kp-lab.com/

    THX

Wouldn't really be fair to say exactly the sim was, but do know how to:

config a router for single area OSPF

config a router for RIP, IGRP, EIGRP

My sim was one of the above four. It was pretty basic stuff.

    Have fun

Yes, right after you end the exam you will see your score report.

Great score ziggy and good advice. When I took my exam I was great with subnetting and didn't regret it. I had a lot of in depth questions that took a long time to answer and finished with only 16 minutes left. When cisco starts throwing large network diagrams at you the last thing you want to do is waste your time on subnetting.
