I would like to know the best way to go about creating a seperate start menu for 3 machines in my school. We have a start menu profile on the server for all pupils. We have a seperate gpo for users and machines


Q. How do i configure the start menu for the 3 machines whilst keeping the start menu for all other machines.

Use Group Policy to lockdown start menu, create 3 OU, 3 diff groups, put the diff users in the diff groups, apply GP to diff groups.

Set DENY to users or groups that should not be affected by the GP.

We have seperate OU for users and computers, we need to find a way to enbling a machine ou without conflicting with our user gpo.

Set deny to the groups that you dont want effected by the GP.

eg. west ou - groups - hr, sales, support

hr and sales need 2 separate GP.

create a separate gp for hr and sales

apply gp to hr and deny sales and support
apply gp to sales and deny hr and support
