I think I recalled someone saying that you did need to know which colors aligned with the corresponding pins. However, Mike Meyers says CompTIA doesn't test on this. Can anyone confirm?

i don't remember seeing it when i took the test

i dont remember it being on the test either...but its always good to know
so when you have to actually make your owns cables you'll know. So its good to know but i dont think it was on the test.
