Falasi Member Posts: 115Exam fee is $500 + $100 for eligibility access form (unless you attend the training).
not sure about V8 being released , the only one available to me is v7 (vue).
AFAIK there is not much different , v8 is accredited by ANSI.
others may correct/add more information. -

Just a heads up, the use of exam **** is frowned upon in this community. -

I think its people who think that getting certs will magically land them a job, skipping all of the technical interview questions and stuff.Have: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, eJPT, GCIA, GSEC, CCSP, CCSK, AWS CSAA, AWS CCP, OCI Foundations Associate, ITIL-F, MS Cyber Security - USF, BSBA - UF, MSISA - WGU
Currently Working On: Python, OSCP Prep
Next Up: OSCP
Studying: Code Academy (Python), Bash Scripting, Virtual Hacking Lab Coursework -

I swear, half of the people employed at work have/do use ****. It's disgusting. Someone asked me last night how the CEH was compared to a **** that is out there... I calmly told them I don't use them... they then proceeded to explain how the need for employment overrules honesty, competence and integrity...
*sigh* -
colemic Member Posts: 1,569 ■■■■■■■□□□Just a little devil's advocate, but would it bother you if, for example, you were required to get a cert to keep your job that 1) you didn't care about, 2) didn't think was applicable anyways, just an HR checkbox? I am sure that theoretically some people have had that issue. Why study months for something that you don't really value?
IMO it's all tied back to how much you perceive and value the certification.Working on: staying alive and staying employed -
SephStorm Member Posts: 1,731 ■■■■■■■□□□I suppose it could be said that even if the cert isn't valued, you still have to maintain your values and ethics.
If I had to take the CISSP to move on in my career, an exam I don't respect and don't like, my first step would be to go get books and video training. Going to look for a **** just isn't in my system -

This is very old thread, you guys might be aware that CEH has no version number. The CEH exam fee at Pearson Vue Testing Center's is around 600 USD.
^Fixed.
There is also a $100 fee to challenged the exam without training.
ProctorU I've heard is cheaper but I have no details.
