Passed ICND2 :)

Just finished my ICND2, and all i gotta say is WOW :)

One of the worst exams i have taken in my entire life. Every question tried to screw you over, the simulations were so unclear that they took ages to figure out what you are actually suppose to do. I ended up passing with 940/1000, with about 3 minutes to go. At around question 25 i started to panic as i had about 20 minutes remaining. Some questions were not even in the book, and i double checked this when coming home.

This was my study strategy:
1 - watched CBT nuggets ICND2 3 times
2 - Watched INE videos once
3 - Watched TrainSignal videos once
4 - Read Odom book version 3 and took notes on everything
5 - Did labs on ever topic about 3-4 times

Once again, good luck to future test takers, and i am glad that it is all over.

CCNP is NEXT!! :D

    Thanks guys :)

I just really wish that Cisco would ask you genuine questions to test your knowledge, rather than mind twisting questions. As i said, the simulations were not hard, the hardest part was trying to figure out what the hell is happening and what you are meant to do. One thing also which a few people have complained about is constant fiddling with the windows in the sim. You have to constantly minimize things, and then maximize... time wasting. At the end of the exam, i did not get any results printed on the screen unlike with my ICND1 which told me the result straight away. I thought i failed, then i got a nice surprise when the receptionist gave me the test report :)

I think i might do my ccna voice next, as the CCNP is not that usefull without the experience.

Oh, and thanks to all of you guys on this forum for great study tips and techniques. It is nice to be a part of this huge support group :)

    Cheers

Very nicely done! It may have been hard to decipher some of the questions but you obviously know your material with a score like that! Congrats!!

For my ICND2 tests, I got the results on the screen when I failed but when I passed, I had to wait until I saw the print out. Strange way of doing it.

Congratz! I wonder if Cisco throws in test questions for fun like ISC(2). I'm starting to get nervous about the test, it's right around the corner.
