Do you prefer refurbished cisco switches and routers or used?

Specifically, on Ebay. The price seems very close, but refurbished normally has a longer warranty period.

Any bad experiences with refurbished cisco equipment?

for a lab or for production? for a lab, i went used. i look for sellers with a decent return policy, ie DOA or bad ports. the moment i get a switch i do check the POST and check that all ports are functioning. with PoE you can run into some bad ports so make sure you check. all four of my switches have been been flawless as far as the hardware goes.
